“Across Africa, actors play a crucial role in the film production process.
Yet, many struggle to make a living.
Only a few enjoy recognition as brand ambassadors to different organizations.🎭
These raise questions about the financial architecture of the creative industry in Africa.
An architecture that does not implement payment of ROYALTIES or recognize RESIDUALS & COLLECTIVE BARGAINING structures.🧐
All these lend credence to why the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), in collaboration with the South African Guild of Actors (SAGA), has taken the initiative to open a pan-African conversation on this.✨
